The real killers of confidence

The Lemon Drop:

False promises and procrastination chip away at confidence. Why?...because they erode trust in ourselves.

When we make commitments we don’t keep or put off important tasks, we reinforce the belief that we’re unreliable or incapable of following through. This cycle not only stalls progress but also diminishes our self-esteem, making it harder to take action in the future.

True confidence is built by aligning our words with our actions and showing up for ourselves, even when it’s hard. Breaking the habit of procrastination and sticking to our promises restores the belief that we can rely on ourselves to succeed.

Journal Prompt

Think of a time when you let procrastination or a broken promise affect your confidence. What did you learn from that experience? How can you build a habit of follow-through and integrity to regain your trust in yourself?
